Christmas gifts are most wonderful when both fun and useful. My parents got me a AF Micro-NIKKOR 60mm f/2.8D (nikon) macro lens so.. without further discussion test photos for the first day.
So iv finally got some AMD64 love for flash in ubuntu ^_^ coutesy of kilz and his Flash 9 install script for AMD64 (nspluginwrapper) so now.. my flash works.. no problems.. and the browser and OS are still 64bit.

Instructions:
if you are running Gutsy, STOP With any flavor of Gutsy you should be able to install flash with apt-get or synaptic/adept and nspluginwrapper should also install and automatically configure the plugin wrapper. You shouldn’t need a script or howto to install it.
- Download the script.
- Right click on the tar.gz and select “Extract Here”
- Close all browsers.
- Inside the folder that extracts is a “GetFlash” file, double click on it.
- Select “Run in Terminal”
- When the terminal closes, restart your browser.
- Your done.
SD-Plissken has pointed out that users of the Fluxbox desktop may need to open a terminal and launch the script by navigating to it and using this command to launch the script.

Melissa and i submitted our design or the threadless contest.. under the regular contest atleast.. do to some internet outage at my house the other day we missed the deadline for the iron and wine contest anywho.. get yourself an vote.. mark it with a 5 and a “id buy it” and if you feel really generous.. assuming its printed.. actually buy one ^_^ it doesn’t hurt to be honest.
iv managed to fix some of the style issues in the gallery *cough* comment form *cough* and the resent issue with the sidebar landing itself on the bottom of the page..(sorta).. iv also come up with a theory on how to fix the direct link bug for the zenphoto root folder under duct-tape but iv yet to test it. while i don’t know EXACTLY how to fix it yet iv figured out why the next image thumbnails currently fail, (its looking for the thumbs in the wrong f’ing folder)… once we iron out these bugs.. assuming there aren’t any more.. we should be ready for a public release of duct-tape.. for those who don’t know duct-tape is a plugin for wordpress that (with a few mod_rewrite changes) merges zenphoto and wordpress in a fairly clean fashion.. its a bit hackish seeing as they arent actually merged but its pretty kickass. its developed by TJ Peden and myself (mainly TJ)
in other news iv come up with a few images to choose from on the header.. should be up soon…
my gallery is up soon to feature the magic of mod_rewrite to give a cleaned and pressed URI the same will hopefully be applying to blog posts this time..
im up.. the site is up.. the style edits have started.. how much can i get done and how fast? how and when will i choose a super awesome header image? tune in next week to find out.
